(Junior) Backend Developer – Amsterdam (8382)

Is PHP and XML in your armoury but are you dying at some point to put your hands to things like Scala? This is job for the technically curious only!

As Backend Developer you’ll be working on a new generation recruitment marketing online solution (SaaS product) and its connectivity with other solutions such as ATS systems (applicant tracking system). You are part of the product development team and work closely with the customer operations team members, as well as align with customer and/or 3rd party vendor engineering teams, giving you a chance to improve on your communication skills.

You’ll be hands on with:

  • Building integration compatibility connectors using PHP and XML/XSLT
  • Providing customization solutions to accommodate customer needs
  • Developing of core product API’s
  • Contributing to product and integrations quality assurance, for example through automation

Functie eisen

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years commercial PHP experience
  • 1 Year of commercial experience with XML, XSLT, XPATH
  • Experience building and consuming REST API’s
  • Experience consuming SOAP API’S
  • Hands on automated testing
  • Comfortable with GIT and Agile development
  • Desire to learn Scala or Python
